delicate plants

fertile land

I can never get over how BLACK the earth is here. No need to buy potting soil! That small plant in the middle came from my garden in Pasadena. Mom likes to collect little seedlings and plants from her trips and plant them at home as a living souvenir. It’s a great habit. All the other plants are aloe that all came from one stalk mom brought back from California a few years ago, and it has grown very well. She uses it for everything, to soothe burns and mosquito bites, heal burns, relieve inflammation.
